as long as可以用来引导时间状语从句，还可以用来引导条件状语从句。as long as的意思是“长达；达……之久”、“当……时候”、“既然；由于；因为”、“如果；只要；在……情形下”。
引导时间状语从句
(1)You may stay here as long as you wish.
你愿意在这里呆多长时间都行。
(2)They all continued their regard for me as long as they lived.
他们毕生都在关心着我。
(3)You can keep my book as long as you like.
我的书你要借多久都随你的便。
引导条件状语从句
(1)You can use my room as long as you keep it clean.
你可以使用我的房间，只要你能保持清洁就行。
(2)The job will be yours as long as you are satisfied with the terms.
只要你符合这些条件，这份工作就是你的。
(3)You can go out in the evening as long as you get back before mid-night.
你晚上可以出去，只要赶在午夜之前回来就行。
